Detention...

Yep, so little man got detention yesterday. 15 minutes after school on Wed. NICE. It was during his "eagle time" class, which is basically a study hall type class - he and another boy were tossing his pencil case back and forth, the other boy missed and it went in the trash can. So... for throwing his pencil case in the trash can and disrupting the "class" he gets detention. I think it's really pretty asinine and petty - but, still - he will get disciplined from this. I need him to understand that detention is not acceptable EVER. So far he's lost TV, video games and computer for the rest of the week - but I'm not sure what else yet? Maybe I'll have him do some "extra" cleaning around the house? scrub the kitchen floor?? any ideas? Oh well... we'll come up with something.

In other news, we had someone come out to quote on our possible addition to the house last night. Since interest rates are so low, we are looking at adding on and enclosing the back porch to make it all part of the house. It will be our family room/game room/sports bar type place. While we're getting quotes on that, we are also having them quote us new windows, new roof, and siding on the house as well. Our house really needs a makeover and some serious work on it. We have a list a mile long of things we want to do to it to make it more live-able for us, we're quickly growing out of it! oh well...

OK, back to work, I'll chat with you later! have a great day!

Wow.

You're strict. I think the loss of those things would be enough.

Phone maybe?

Oh, and yeah, giving him a detendion for that is kina lame.

That's a pretty stupid reason for a detention!

Maybe folding laundry?! That's the worse chore I could think of...
