So, I made it...

3 days of sitting in airports - I suppose there are worse places I could have been stuck for Christmas, and at least I did get to Ohio for Christmas. So just a quick review of my holidays...

Wednesday: Left work, tried to fly to Ohio - SNOW - no going anywhere...came back home, locked out of the house, spent the night with TrickMagnet.

Thursday: back at the airport bright and early (5:30 am), waiting, waiting, waiting - trying to find a route, connection - anything to get me to Canton or anywhere around it so that I can drive to Canton. SNOW...no going anywhere again. Trick came and picked me up again, took me home, I called a locksmith and he got me in the house. I went out and rented a few movies, got some Burger King took several Xanax and crashed the rest of the night on the couch.

Friday: back at the airport bright and early (5:30 am), waiting, waiting, waiting...flights still getting cancelled...but wait - a ray of hope...there looks like there is a connecting flight through....TAMPA? Yep - flew to Tampa and then to Canton! Woo Hoo! So, I'm arriving in Canton, call hubby to tell him I'm here - he's lost on the way to the airport to pick me up...so, I'm waiting, waiting, waiting - lovin' airports by now - LOVING them! Anyway - I did arrive...

We went straight over to his parents house, visited with them for awhile - shared a $146.00 bottle of red wine with his mom - YUMMMMY! Opened my presents, lots of COOL stuffs. Then we went back to my parents house - saw the kids :) very good to see them! Sent them to bed and got all of the Santa stuff ready and them we went to bed.

Saturday: Kids got up, Santa was here! Woo hoo! We did the tree at my parents - kids all excited, wanting to play with their new toys - NOPE, pack it up we have to go. Packed up, drove to Cinci. Had Christmas that night with my brother and his family, played several games of Scene It (fun game). Drunk, tired - drag hubby to our air mattress and go to bed.

Sunday: Have breakfast with the family (sister-in-law is INCREDIBLE hostess - always prepared) pack the car back up and hit the road to Huntsville. My parents decide to keep the kids and come down in a day or two. So just hubby and me driving home. What is normally a 6 1/2 to 7 hour drive turns into an 8 hour drive due to road and traffic conditions. Pick up Outback on the way home for dinner, get home, eat dinner - unload car and then sit back and watched Collateral (decent - but really stretched to the extreme), went to bed.

Nice Christmas though - at least I did make it up there. I'll talk about our gifts later! Hope y'all had a great Christmas! Now comes the New Year.....hmmm.....
