Thank you!

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts and well wishes. It was an exhausting couple of days, but it went well. Grandmother's funeral was really nice. She was such a fun person! She really, really was - we just enjoyed spending time with her. One of her "trademarks" was her 5:00 drink. Every day, at 5:00 pm of course, it was time for her drink. She drank Jack on the rocks - a stiff one too - damn could that woman drink! LOL! Anyway, of course we called that Val's 5:00 drink, and it got to be that if she ever wanted a drink, and it wasn't 5:00 yet, she would say - "well, it's 5:00 somewhere" - and she would get her drink, she's been saying that ever since I met her. So to close off the funeral we played Alan Jackson's "It's 5:00 somewhere". That was just such a great ending to the service. We called her mothers - when my son was very young and we would go to her house all of the time, we would say - "we're going to grandmother's house". Well, he couldn't get the grand part out, so it just became Mothers. So anyway...Goodbye Mothers, we love you and we will miss you...
