Easter

So we had a very nice Easter this year. This is the first Easter in about 7 years that we have actually had an Easter dinner! Very nice. I got up very early on Sunday morning and put together the easter baskets for the kids....
Lauren's: A cute little white basket filled with candy (not much), a plastic tea set, a jump rope, crayons, coloring book, a little stuffed easter bunny, silly putty, umm...what else? I guess that might be it - it was just all a bunch of small goodies from the dollar store (I love that place for things like this!)
Alex's: A baseball duffel bag was his basket and it was filled with candy (again not much), a spirograph set, a silly pen with hair, colored markers, silly putty, a drawing book, construction paper, a water bottle and some hot wheels.
Once I got them all put together, I put the baskets on the end of each of their beds - so they wake up to them. It's so fun hearing them wake up and start going through the stuff! I love it. So Alex comes running in to our room, where I'm pretending to be asleep, and yells "Mom, the Easter Bunny was here!!!" - he is so excited! I love it! Anyway it was fun.

My parents were down here this weekend as well, so we just kind of hung out all day. It was rainy and wet - so there was no playing outside...I cooked a leg of lamb, a ham, mashed potatoes, corn, and we also had deviled eggs and a big salad. It was all so good! Really yummy. That was the first time that I've cooked lamb, it turned out wonderful. I bought all of the stuff to make gyros with the leftovers and made the gyro sauce too. That's what we will have for dinner tonight. I can't wait. MMMM. :)

So Mom and Dad left this morning and headed back home to Ohio. I hope to get up to see them again soon. We'll see.

Today is my 35th Bday - wow. Not much planned, going out to lunch with some girls from work. That will be nice...I guess that is it. Steve already got me my bday present (That digital camera). So that's all. Boy, as you get older, there is just less and less to look forward to! haha! Oh well, just another day.
