This a long read...update on everyone...

Steve: One dr. told him it was a herniated disk, but we are still not sure. He is going to see a back specialist now and she is telling him it sounds more like muscle spasms. We are waiting on the results of the MRI to come back.

Lauren: She had strep throat and both ears infected. We are started her on anti-biotic right away, she seems to be getting better, although the way she acted you could hardly tell she was sick in the first place.

Mom: She was experiencing some chest pains, and heart problems run VERY big in her family. So they checked her out thoroughly and she was fine. Not really sure what the problem was there. They have given her some sleeping pills to start taking, she had taken a sleep test too and apparently she never goes into a deep REM sleep, so she was tired all of the time. That may have helped cause the chest pains.

Grandmother: She is living in Dallas now with her daughter Paula. We miss her very much. It's hard not seeing her all of the time. On one hand, what a relief not to "have" to go over there every single day to visit and take care of her, but on the other hand - we don't get to go visit her every day. We talk to her fairly often and she misses us a lot too. She doesn't understand why we don't come over for dinner like we used to do. That's hard. She seems more and more scattered too, I think the dementia is getting worse.

Alex: He is great! He acts like a typical 6 year old, which is crazy, but he's a pretty good kid nonetheless. He's doing very good in school and getting all A's :). He is great with his sister and loves to play with her. His birthday is coming up - March 21st. He wants to have a party at the skating rink, you should see him skate, he's good! I can't believe he's going to be 7! WOW.

Me: So it's going on 3 weeks now that I've been sick. YECH. First it was just a regular cold, then it turned into major congestion and a head cold. Then it moved down into my chest with the lingering cough. So finally I broke down and went to the Dr. about it. He said I have bronchitis and gave me some VERY strong cough syrup and an anti-biotic to start. Well, about 2 days into that I've developed strep throat. He said this anti-biotic should work on that too, but so far it's just gotten worse, I've been on the anti-biotic for 5 days now, and not much better. I think I'm going to give it another day or 2 and then go back to him and say FIX ME! I'm really tired of being sick. I've got no energy...blah. Also, right before I got sick, I went to the Dr. about some other things that were going on with me and he said that I have depression. So he put me on an anti-depressant called Lexapro. So there's that fun stuff too.
