OK - what's up...

So I have just been so busy! And sick on top of it - AUGH! So it began on Friday the 20th - I woke up feeling horrible, I came into work but only lasted a half day and went home to sleep. I slept until Sunday morning, yeah I guess I needed some rest! Isn't that nuts? I mean, I barely budged those 2 days in bed, boy was that nice. So anyway, ran around a bit on Sunday (grocery shopping etc...).

Then I needed to get ready to go down to Florida, I left on Tuesday afternoon to fly to Ft. Lauderdale for work. It was so beautiful down there! MAN was it nice - sunny and warm. I stayed at a really nice place too. It was right across from the beach. But anyway, I was down there for work, an ISO audit of our Sunrise facility - so I didn't really even get to enjoy the area or weather. I left there Thursday morning and flew to Cincinnati and then back to Huntsville, I was supposed to go through Atlanta but they got snow and the flights were all getting delayed and cancelled.

So I worked all day on Friday trying to catch up from being gone - I can never catch up! Then I went home packed up our suitcases and the car just in time for Steve to arrive home with the kids and we got in the car and drove to Cincinnati (I know - I was just there yesterday!) So, I'm still sick, Lauren is starting to catch the cold and Steve went to the Doctor that morning and was told he had a herniated disk - this is going to be a fun drive! We were so exhausted, but we made it into my brothers house around 2:00 am local time.

Got up early Saturday morning and getting ready to head up to Canton where we were going to spend the afternoon with my parents. So we call to tell them we are heading out and find out that they are just heading in to the emergency room with my mom. She had been having hot/cold flashes all night with chest pains. SOOO, now I'm really anxious to get up there. So when we get there we meet up with Dad in the parking lot. She's fine, she's just being monitored right now and the kids can't go in. I'll go back later and visit her by myself. So we go to lunch with Dad - that was really nice - went to The Irish Exchange out on Tusc. Had lunch and then went over to my in-laws.

Which, this is the whole reason we were even making this crazy trip - they were having a party Saturday night for my Mother-in-law's 50th birthday. So everyone knew we were coming except for her. So we show up and surprise her - she was surprised, so that was fun. OK, so then the party Saturday night - it was out at Peter Shear's and was really nice! We had so much fun, the kids were good, just a great night. They are really fun people (my in-laws and their friends). They are a bunch of crazy people, for sure, it was fun!

Naturally then Sunday morning I'm a bit hung-over, ugh, and still sick, ugh again. We get up early and round the kids up and head on to my parents house. Everyone at my in-laws is still sleeping soundly. Mom is home from the hospital, she got home really late Saturday night. She's excited to see the kids so she takes over and Steve and I go back to bed. (Catch a bit of sleep, not nearly enough.)

So we just visit for awhile, then get back into the car and drive back to Cincinnati, I'm getting really tired of this drive. We get to my brother's and they are just firing up the grill for dinner. We have steaks and fish and it was all wonderful, everything. We're waiting on our friend Steve Youels to come over and visit for a bit. I'm about to fall over I'm so tired and I'm still hacking away from this cold. Steve doesn't even get there until 9:00, which is way past my bedtime, so I try to hang for awhile, but give up fairly soon and go to bed.

Get up early Monday morning cause the kids are running around like mad animals. LOVE IT. Once again, we pack up our stuff and head out on the road to come home. The drive home was not too bad, we got in fairly early and had a chance to just kick back and rest. We ordered in Chinese for dinner and did not much else.

So anyway, that pretty much brings me up to today. I'm still sick...I want to feel better...I know this was a really long read...sorry about that. And Trish - sorry we didn't even call you while we were in Canton! I meant to, just ran out of time. Anyway - I'll keep it shorter now that I'm all caught up...well mostly caught up!
