So, the kids that are just now starting their freshman year of college all over the nation were mostly all born in 1988. 1988?? Are you kidding me? I was in college myself at that time! MAN. So just for kicks - what were you doing in 1988? Do you remember? Here's what I was doing...
Fall of 1988 -
I was living at home and going to school at a local branch of Kent State University (because I had gotten kicked out of my previous school! - but that's another story). I was dating Jay, who I thought I was going to be with forever at the time. I was working at Dillards department store in various departments. Jay was living in Toledo and we would see each other maybe once or twice a month - good relationship there, huh? But we had a blast together anyway - he was a good guy, for the most part. I was going out ALOT, I mean ALOT - I would get together with my friend Brian who lived in Akron and we would go out to the bars there all night long. The Townhouse was the place to be, or maybe the Agora to see all the live bands. Then I would crash at Brian's and come home to go to school or work, then go right back up to Akron pretty much. It was a good time - I don't talk to any of those people anymore. I wonder what Brian is up to now - I'd love to get in touch with him. Anyway, that's the short version of what I was doing - what about you? What were you doing in 1988???
