It was just so nice all around! We had an awesome time. Saturday we went out on the boat with our friends, boated for a couple of hours - threw the fishing line a bit, drank some beers. GOOD stuff. We left there and went to the state park to camp overnight. It was dark by the time we got there, we set up camp and got everything ready to grill out. Cooked up a bunch of brats, dogs and burgers and enjoyed them that night. Our friends went home and the 4 of us camped out there overnight. We had a great spot, set up our tent right on the lake, had a fire. It was just really nice.
Sunday morning we got up, I cooked up some coffee, eggs and bacon and hubby started us up another fire. We enjoyed the morning and then got it all put back together and took the boat out again for the rest of the day. It was just the four of us, we had so much fun. We were out there for about 5 hours - but time just flew. It was SO relaxing. and now... I'm burnt to a CRISP.
Well, that's the readers digest version of our weekend - but really - I had so much fun, this is going to be such a fun summer! The kids went on and on about the whole weekend too. Can't wait for next time!

... and PS - do you know how hard it is to have sex with your hubby in a very small tent with a child laying on either side of you completely zonked out? Just curious....
