Friday night:
Went to the Handley estate for some Irish celebrating. Cooked out and drank a few beers, had a good night. They built up a bonfire and we sat around it for awhile. It was a short night because we had to get lots done on Sat morning - so we headed home. Fun night though.
Saturday:
Cleaned the house and got ready for Alex's bday sleepover that night. Did a shop at walmart to pick up his cake and all of the other necessities such as snacks and goodie bag stuffs. Took Alex to ball practice and helped Lauren finish cleaning her room. The neighbor picked Alex up from ball practice and I headed out to New Hope to take Lauren to one of her best friends bday party, I dropped her off there and she spent the night. By the time I got back home, the first of the friends for his sleepover started showing up. We had 7 boys come over that night, and all but 1 spent the night. It turned out to be really good - they all got along and played together really well, I was pleasantly surprised.
Sunday:
Woke up bright and early to 7 boys playing the video games in alex's room. NICE. Couldn't they sleep in a tiny bit??? sigh. Anyway - just waited on all of the parents to pick up their blessed little boys and waited on Lauren to be brought home. I vegged on the couch til all that was done. I was beat. It was all said and done by 1:00ish. We pretty much hung around then and didn't do much. Went to the Hockey game at 4:00 - Havoc won! Go team! Then came home to watch the Soprano's! We had quite the spread out too - french bread, olive oil, Brie, fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, Bleu Cheese, grapes, black pepper salami and red wine. MAN was that good stuff. Totally hit the spot and I thoroughly enjoyed the Soprano's then. That'll probably be dinner tonight as well.... we shall see.
