What a day...

I'm not having a very good day today...

I go to school this morning, cuz the 2nd Grade is having a little program for the parents. It was really cute, they sang some songs, read some poems and just looked adorable. Except, my son got punished for being bad yesterday and so he could not participate in any of the poems that he was originally in. All he did was sit in a chair and sing with the rest of the group. EVERY other kid participated in one or more poems. I was a little annoyed by that, but apparently he had been bad - so, I could understand that as well.

Now, with everything that's been going on with Alex, I wanted to talk to his teacher again because she still had not replied to the letter that I sent her a week and a half ago. I wanted to make sure that she had received it, and if we could set up a time to talk about some behavioral techniques with him. So, I went up and said hello, asking her if she had received that letter and what she thought. She said she thought the Dr. hit it right on the head and that it was a very good idea. OH...I said...well, I would like to meet with you and the guidance counselor to discuss it some more. She said she's just so busy right now with the end of the year and all (they're last day of school is Thursday). She was just very short and abrupt with me. Now, granted, I understand that at the end of a class program with teachers and parents running around is not the best place to talk, but she could have said that - she didn't. I get the impression that she is ticked with me. Whatever!

I'm just still upset about it, all over again really. It's just extremely frustrating when something is going on with one of your kids and you feel so helpless. Anyway... just wanted to vent a bit - not much new there I know... Just have to keep digging...
