Another great weekend....

Boy did we have a blast up there! We camped out all weekend in Cave City, KY - Mammoth Caves. It was real fun. We got bad thunderstorms Friday night, but it was beautiful the rest of the weekend. Kids had a blast, and the adults did too! I was worn out, really just beat after it was all said and done, but it was a good tired! We went through the caverns on Sunday morning and that was really interesting. It was a 2 hour hike through the caves - about 2 miles and it was cold in there! We were prepared for it, thank goodness, so we stayed fairly warm. Then we got back outside where it was just roasting hot and very humid. Headed back home Sunday night after stopping for dinner and ice cream. We ate SO much this weekend...food, food, food - my kind of camping trip! All of the great camping food, cooked out over an open fire - YUM! So, now I need to watch what I eat again and work this off! Oh well, it was worth it. Anyway, we are definitely planning on doing this again, it was just So much fun! It was a good place too, almost exactly halfway in between us and my brother's in Cinci. - worked out well. There was lots to do around there and we didn't do much of it....so next time we'll do more! This trip comes highly recommended!
