What a screwed up world...

So much is going on right now around our country and around our world...it's hard sometimes to just get through the day. I normally don't go on about politics and world affairs - I guess I try to leave that to the "brillant" minds out there. I try to add a bit of my life, a bit of lightness to the world...when I can anyway. Sometimes it does get difficult. I guess, I struggle within myself on how I feel about some of these "heavier" issues and the reality of it is - We NEVER know the whole story. The war in Iraq, the prisoner abuse scandal, the beheading of an American...I mean - we only are getting half the story, and that's all we will get. The Kobe Bryant rape case, the Scott Peterson trial...we only know part of the story! I try to be an optimist - maybe I'm just naive. I don't know. Anyway - not sure that I really have a point at all to the post, sorry about my rambling. I just get depressed sometimes about the situation of the world...especially since I have become a mom - I just want the best for my kids - of course. But then, I look at what my kids see - and I think that right now, they think the world is a pretty good place. From their point of view - Life is great! That makes me feel good, that means that I am doing my job right for now anyway! Well - ok all - have a good day - I'll post more later!
