So, time to catch up...

OK - so much has been going on lately - where to start?

Well I spent the past 2 days running around with my 3 year old daughter Lauren. She had Nursemaids elbow and it was not fun! My poor little baby! She was hurting so bad. Monday night we were over at Grandmother's house (where we are every single day now, but that's another story...) and Patience (She's Grandmother's caregiver) was playing with Lauren and swinging her by the hands, we all do that with kids, right? Well, we shouldn't ever do that, especially with Lauren. So she gets her Nursemaids elbow and she is just miserable. We try to put it back into place, but with no luck. We take her home, give her plenty of Tylenol and Motrin and put her to bed. She slept so-so, kept waking up every time she rolled near that arm. So Tuesday morning then, I take her to the Pediatrician (The same pediatrician who told me that if I was a good mom I would take her out of daycare and stay home with her - yeah nice...I just haven't found a new pediatrician yet.) So they check out her arm and they are concerned it might be broke so they send me to the Medical Mall to go get X-rayed. So we do that, then go back to the Pediatrician and they review the pictures - nothing is wrong. They try again to put her arm back in place - still no luck. So we leave, they make an appointment for me to go see an Orthopedic Dr. because they are very concerned that she keeps getting this (she used to get it when she was very little, but hasn't had it in almost a year and a half). So I head into work to pick up my computer and some paperwork so I can work from home a bit - by the time we get into work, she's using her arm again and says it doesn't hurt anymore. I guess they got it back into place again that last time. CRAZY...

So yesterday I leave work, pick her up and drive to the Orthopedic Dr. where I wait for 2 hours to get in and talk to him for about 3 minutes...
Him: "Why did the pediatrician send you here?"
Me: "They were concerned it kept happening so often with her."
Him: "No, that's what happens - there's no treatment for this, she'll just grow out of it."
Me: "*&^^$&(^#$$%@#" So I just wasted 2 hours and $25.00 - because my Pediatrician is a moron!

Oh well, so I took Lauren to McDonald's for a sundae and then back to Daycare....

AUGH.
