So, did everyone have a Happy and safe New Years? Ours was very nice - well, boring would probably be the better word for it - but calm in anycase! Hubby wasn't feeling too great, so he went to bed early, I put the kids to bed by 10:00, and I sat and watched the ball drop and then I went to bed. I didn't even see midnight my time! Oh well - you'll have that sometimes. Really didn't get much of anything done the rest of the weekend either. I weeded and cleaned the flowerbeds out front, took down the Christmas tree and cleaned the kitchen about 4 times. Exciting stuff really. Hubby used his new golf clubs and went golfing Sunday morning, that's about all that he did. Yes - we are a couple of kooks - living on the edge, the edge of reality. So anyway, we had Monday off for New Years - since we had to work on Friday. That was a nice break, who wants to go in to work on Monday anyway? NOT ME.
Alex was a trooper - took him in to the dentist Monday morning to fill a cavity. They gave him "Mr. Nose" and some "sleepy juice", he did wonderful. They filled the cavity that was in one of his molars and then they pulled 4 teeth on the front lower! Poor kid! The way that the new teeth were coming in, and the baby teeth were not moving, was starting to screw up his mouth. So we needed to pull those front teeth. He looks so DAMN cute! All those missing teeth! Too funny. He put them all under his pillow last night and the toothfairy left him $5.00! Woo Hoo! He was pretty excited about that. The "toothfairy" woke him up trying to put the money under his pillow and had to pretend that it was already there! Yeah, well - we do what we have to do. All of you other parents out there understand.
